The Cadek Conservatory of Music leadership team and instructors strive to provide accessible opportunities for students to further their commitment to music education.
Cadek invites music students in the greater Chattanooga region to apply for the 2021-22 academic year scholarships. Cadek leaders have waived the registration fee for auditions.
Applications are now available. The deadline to apply is Saturday, March 20, 2021. All registration and forms are online only. Hard copies of music may be submitted to the Cadek office on campus at GPS.
Audition dates for all instruments are Saturday, April 17, and Sunday, April 18, 2021, from 12 p.m. to 5, in the Evans Center at GPS, with in-person and live virtual options available.

About Cadek Scholarships
Applications are available for Incentive and Achievement scholarships. Scholarship awards are divided into two terms and can only apply to tuition for enrollment in Cadek’s entire academic year.
Awards range from a partial to a full academic year scholarship
Cadek welcomes beginner to intermediate current Cadek students to audition for Incentive Scholarships. These awards are designed for students who show commitment to personal growth and discovery, who continue to work on their craft, and who strive to develop a professional practice habit.
Prizes range from a partial to a full academic year scholarship
Cadek welcomes advanced Cadek students and non-professional private-instruction students in the greater Chattanooga region to audition for Achievement Scholarships. These awards are designed for advanced students who are working toward collegiate or professional levels of study and performance. Interested applicants should demonstrate mastery of their craft, exhibit artistic professionalism, maintain a dedicated practice, and perform challenging pieces.
Applicants should prepare a 10-minute audition, performing all pieces from memory with music from at least two contrasting periods. Digital uploads of the music must be submitted with an application.
Auditions will be held in the Evans Center at Girls Preparatory School, 205 Island Avenue in Chattanooga. A Cadek representative will schedule audition times after the application deadline. Results will be shared with a student’s instructor within two weeks of the audition.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, a live virtual audition option for any student will be made available if desired. All brass, woodwind, and vocal auditions must be completed virtually. If at any time Cadek and GPS leaders determine all auditions must change to a virtual format, Cadek Conservatory reserves the right to make this change.
