Mary Record, a Chattanooga native, joins the Cadek faculty as a piano and voice instructor. She enjoys teaching piano and voice in exciting, innovative ways to make music enjoyable and accessible for all people. Record uses a multisensory approach to vocal instruction paired with vocal music of interest to students, and she hopes to encourage people of all ages and backgrounds to learn to sing and find enjoyment and creative self-expression through this art form.
Mary Record holds a bachelor’s degree in vocal music from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, as well as a master’s in voice performance at Austin Peay State University. She’s been a private instructor for many years. In addition to professional experience and background, Record completed coursework for an internship experience and board certification test for music therapists.
