Welcome back to the 2020-21 school year! Cadek leadership and instructors are eager to welcome students back both at Cadek on the GPS campus and at The Bright School. Get to know our instructors who teach at Bright.

We invite you to join us for a virtual meet and greet on Zoom. Please click the link below to join the upcoming session this Friday:

We’ll introduce our instructors, review what to expect, and answer parent questions.

We offer full term (18 weeks) and A and B term options for students. More details, including our calendar, offerings, and complete COVID-19 policies, can be found on the homepage

The health and safety of the community is our main priority. We’re eager to work with parents and families to hold both in-person and virtual lessons. At this time, based on current safety recommendations, woodwinds, flute, and voice lessons will continue to occur virtually. String and piano lessons may happen in person.

Over the years, her experiences in music as a student have included Kindermusik, choir, hand bells, band (flute), and, of course, piano lessons. During her senior year of high school, Smith discovered Simply Music, Inc., and became a Certified Music Educator with the program. She holds an Associate of Fine Arts degree in music from Chattanooga State and B.A. in music from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She’s been a Simply Music Teacher since 2009, and she took traditional piano lessons from second through 11th grades. She enjoys teaching students through the Simply Music platform.

  • Katie Talley—Piano, Voice, and Violin
Cadek and Bright School
Katie Talley brings a lifetime of experience, training, and passion to her music. A former music teacher at Tennessee Christian Academy, she received her B.A. from Lee University School of Music. Katie is also an alum of the Lee University Campus Choir, Lee University Choral Union, and the vocal studio of Virginia Horton. Talley’s passion for music began long before college. As a child she performed regularly in musical theater and in both ministry and show choirs through adolescence.
