Scott Keil

Scott Keil was introduced to musical performance through his junior high school concert band class. After a year of learning snare, timpani, cymbal, bells, marimba, he gravitated to the drum kit and began playing in local bands. Keil moved to Los Angeles in 2008 to attend Los Angeles Music Academy, now known as Los Angeles College of Music, where he studied under renowned drummers like Ralph Humphrey and Joe Porcaro. 
 
After graduation Keil continued to live in Los Angeles, performing regular shows with a diverse range of artists in genres like rock, pop, country, jazz, blues, and heavy metal. He also maintained a full calendar for private lessons with his many students. He briefly moved to Houston, where he helped manage a School of Rock location. 
 
Keil recently moved to Chattanooga and works with bands and artists in the area. He brings depth of experience as a private drum instructor and looks forward to meeting new students.
